PART 1:VIVITARMOBILEEXPERIENCE APPLICATION INTRODUCTION Working seamlessly with the Vivitar i7 digital camera, the Vivitar Mobile Experience lets you: Transfer photos from your Vivitar Camera to your iPad. View and edit photo albums with photos from your Vivitar Camera. View photos sorted by date in the Timeline mode. Add special effects to photos. Create photo slideshows.
TRANSFERRING YOUR OTOS PH FROM THE CAMERA TO AN IP AD STEP 1: INSTALLING HET VIVITARMOBILEEXPERIENCE APPLICATION TO YOUR IPAD 1) Enter and sign in to the Apple ® App Store™ from either your iPad or iTunes on your PC / MAC. 2) Search and locate the Vivitar Mobile Experience application. 3) Select “Install” to install the application to your iPad. STEP 2: CONNECTING HEYOUR T CAMERA TO THE IPAD 1) 2) 3) 4) 5) Make sure the SD card with your captured photo is inserted in your camera.
STEP 3: TRANSFERRING IMAGES FROM YOURCAMERA TO THE IPAD Make sure the SD card with your captured photos is inserted in your camera. Do not disconnect during transfer. Doing so will cancel the transfer of any files on their way to your iPad. Your photos can be easily transferred from your Vivitar camera to your iPad. 1) Connect your camera to the iPad as described in Step 2. 2) The Vivitar Mobile Experience application automatically launches.
) Erase photos from the Vivitar camera: Touch Erase photos after download ON or OFFto remove the photos from the camera. 7) Touch Continueto begin downloading. NOTE: If you decide not to download the images, touch Cancel. 8) As each photo is being transferred, it appears on the screen. A status bar shows the transfer progress. 9) When all the images have been transferred touch Continueto go to the Main Gallery.
USING THE VIVITAR MOBILE EXPERIE NCEAPPLICATION THEMAIN GALLERY The Main Gallery allows you easy access to all the main features in the application. Timeline View photos sorted by years and months. Albums View albums with all the photos that you imported from your Vivitar camera. Slideshow Create and save slideshows with background music. Share photos Email your photos. Print your photos. Upload photos to Facebook, Twitter and Google+. Effects Add special effects to your photos.
VIEWING THE TIMELINE : Touch Timeline in the left pane to open the Timeline mode. View Photos Sorted by Years: Select a year and touch it to see albums of photos sorted by months. View the thumbnails of the selected year in the media view area. View Photos Sorted by Months: Select a year then select a month and touch it to view the thumbnails in the media view area. Full Screen View: Touch a thumbnail to see the photo in full screen. Touch Backto return to the Main Gallery.
Touch one of the albums to view the thumbnails in the media view area. Touch a thumbnail to see the photo in full screen. Add New Album: Touch the Add New Album button. Name the album and touch Done. The new album appears in the Albums list. Rename Album: Touch the Edit button to open the Edit Albums mode. Touch an album to select it. Select the Renameoption, rename the album and touch Done. Delete Album: Touch the Edit button to open the Edit albumsmode. Touch an album.
- Touch Interval to select the intervals in seconds between each photo. The interval options are between 1 to 60 seconds. - Touch Transitionsto select one of the following transitions: dissolve, wipe or flip. - Touch PlayMusic to turn the music option On or Off. When music option is on, you can touch Music to select a song and touch. - Touch the Start slideshowbutton to begin the slideshow. Play a Slideshow: Touch Slideshowin the left pane to open the Slideshowmode.
Print Photos: Touch the SelectPhotosbutton from the Main Galleryto view the photo thumbnails. Touch a photo thumbnail to select it. When you have finished selecting your photos, touch Share Photosthen select the Print option. Select a printer, configure the printer options and then touch Print. NOTE: The application prints wirelessly to AirPrint enabled printers. If you are not sure whether your printer is AirPrint enabled, refer to its documentation.
ADDING EFFECTS TO OTOS PH : While viewing thumbnails in the Main Gallery, touch a photo to open it in full screen. The Effectslist appears in the left pane. Touch on one of the effects and alter the photo. When you have finished altering your photo, touch the Done button to return to the Effects list. Touch the Cancelbutton to exit without changing the photo. Touch the Copybutton to save a copy of the photo with the effects you made and return to the Main Gallery.
Color Invert Touch Color invert. The Color Invert effect inverts colors in an image, giving an image a look similar to a negative, but without the orange cast that a color film negative has. Color Monochrome Touch Color Monochrome. The Color Monochromeeffect remaps colors so they fall within shades of a single color. Specify the color: Touch the Input Color. Select a color then touch Done. Intensity: Move the Intensity slider to the right to increase the color tones.
Highlights and S hadows Touch Highlightsand Shadows. The Highlight and Shadowseffect brightens shadowed subjects in an image and reduces the highlights in an image. Highlight: Move the Highlight slider to the right to reduce the highlights and to the left to increase the highlights. Shadows: Move the Shadowsslider to the right to lighten shadowed subjects in an image and to the right to darken them. Hue Adjust Touch Hue Adjust.
Vignette Touch Vignette. The Vignette effect is a decorated border that softly fades at the edges of a picture so that the viewer’s attention is drawn to the center of the image. Intensity: Move the slider to the right to increase the intensity of the vignette. Move the slider to the left to reduce the intensity of the vignette. Radius: Move the Radiusslider to the right to darken the vignette. Move the slider to the left to brighten the vignette. White Point Adjust Touch White Point Adjust.
ORGANIZINGHOTOS P : View Photo: While viewing thumbnails, tap a photo to open it in full screen. CopyPhoto: While viewing thumbnails, touch the SelectPhotosbutton. Touch a photo(s) to select. Touch the Copybutton then touch on an album in the Copyto Album list. Delete Photo: While viewing thumbnails, touch the Delete button and confirm deletion by selecting Yes.

Please read this manual carefully first in order to get the most out of your digital camera. NOTE: Your camera needs an SD Memory card (up to 32GB) for normal use. INITIAL CAMERA SETUP INSTALLING THE BATTER IES Make sure the batteries have been inserted properly into your digital camera, according to the polarity shown inside the battery compartment. See illustration above. Use 3x AAA (1.5v) batteries. Alkaline batteries are recommended. Batteries not included. NOTE: Remove the batteries from the camera when not in use for an extended period. Do not mix alkaline and non-alkaline batteries. Rechargeable batteries not recommended.
INSTALLING THE MICROSD MEMORY CARD An SD Memory card (up to 32GB) is needed for normal use. Important: After installing, your must format the SD Memory Card before first use by selecting the “Format Memory Card” camera menu option. Make sure an SD card has been properly inserted into your camera. SD Memory card not included. To properly insert the SD Card: Push the SD card into the slot in the direction shown on the camera (see SD icon by the SD card slot).
NOTE: After the camera is powered on, an SD icon will appear on the LCD display. If you do not see the SD icon on the display, please check if the card was inserted properly. Make sure the SD card is not locked (check the lock switch on the side of the SD card). If the SD card is locked this will prevent the camera from saving captured photos to the SD card. TURNING ON THE CAMER A Press the Power button to turn on the camera.
USING THE CAMERA When powering the camera ON for the first time the camera will take you through the INITIAL CAMERA SETUP. Setting the Camera Language 1) You will first be prompted to select a language for the camera. The Language selection menu will appear. Select the language of your choice by pressing the UPand DOWNdirection control buttons. Then press the SETbutton to confirm the selection. 2) After selecting a language, you will be asked if you would like to continue with the initial camera setup.
Setting the Date and Time The next step in the initial camera setup is to set the date and time on the camera. Set the Date and Time as desired by pressing the RIGHTand LEFTdirection control buttons to choose the specific setting and the UPand DOWNbuttons to change each setting. Once you have completed setting the time and date, press the SETbutton to confirm the selection and move to the next part of the camera setup.
MAIN CAMERA MODES Your camera has different modes for the various camera functions. You can switch modes by pressing the MODEbutton on your camera after the camera has been powered ON. Photo Capture Mode Use this mode to capture pictures with your camera. This is the default mode when the camera is powered ON. To take a picture, aim your camera as desired and press the Shutter button. The picture will be automatically saved to your camera’s memory card.

POWERING THE CAMERA ON/OFF Make sure the batteries have been inserted properly into your digital camera. If your camera comes with a rechargeable lithium battery, make sure it is fully charged before the first use. Make sure an SD card has been inserted into your camera. (SD card up to 32GB - SD Card not included) Please see Initial CameraSetupfor more information. POWERING THE CAMERA ON Press the Power button to turn your camera ON.
CHANGING CAMERA MODE Your camera has three main modes: 1) Photo Capture Mode- Use this mode to capture photos with your camera. 2) Video Capture Mode- Use this mode to capture videos with your camera. 3) Playback Mode (for photos and videos) - Use this mode to view the photos and videos you have already taken with your camera. When the camera is first powered ON, the Photo Capture Mode will be active.
NAVIGATING THE MENUS Each camera mode has a set of menus specific to that mode. 1) 2) 3) 4) 5) 6) 7) Press the SETbutton to open the menus for the current mode. Press the LEFTor RIGHTdirection control button to scroll between the various menus for the current mode. Press the UPor DOWNdirection control button to highlight the desired menu selection. PHOTO CAPTURE MODE The Photo Capture mode allows you to capture pictures with your digital camera. TAKING A PICTURE 1) While in Photo Capture mode, use the LCD display on the back of the camera to direct the camera at the scene you would like to capture. 2) Press the T/Zoom Inand W/Zoom Out buttons to zoom in/out if desired. NOTE: The actual shape of the zoom buttons may vary per camera model. You can magnify your subject up to 4 times using the digital zoom.
PHOTO CAPTURE MODE UICK Q FUNCTION BUTTON S Your digital camera has a four-directional pad that functions as Quick Function buttons: Button Left Function Scene Selection – Opens the Scene menu Up Flash Options – Toggles the Flash options appearing on the LCD Right Delete – Opens the ‘Delete This Photo’ option and allows you to view and delete the last photo taken Down Other Shutter SET ViviLink – Opens the ViviLink for Photos menu Captures the photo Opens the menu options for Photo Capture Mode
FLASH OPTIONS There are several Flash options available on your camera. The options appear on the Photo Capture Mode LCD screen in sequence. To change the Flash mode, press the UPQuick Function button until you arrive at your desired settings. Important: When using Flash, stand between 8 to 10 feet away from the scene you would like to capture. Flash Type Forced Off (Default) A Auto Flash Forced On Description No flash will appear. Use this when you do not want to activate Flash.
MACRO SWITCH OPTIONS / MACRO ON: Your camera contains a Macro Switch that allows you to manually enable or disable the Macro mode on your camera. While using the Macro mode, you can capture images at close range (15 ~ 30 cm). To turn the Macro mode ON, slide the Macro Switch on the side of your camera UP to the flower icon . When enabled, the Macro mode will allow your camera to focus on an object that is close to the camera.

Scene Menu The Scene Menu allows you to choose scene settings that let your camera to adapt properly to your current environment. NOTE: When selecting the HIGH SENSITIVITY Option, by default the camera switches off the FLASH automatically (if it’s ON) to optimize the picture quality. If however, you would like to override it and manually turn ON the flash – you can do so. 1) Press the SETbutton to open the menus for the current mode.

Image Quality Menu The Image Quality menu allows you to select the desired quality level of the images taken by your camera. Color Effect Menu You can choose to add a color effect to the images taken with your camera. 1) Press the SETbutton to open the menus for the current mode. 2) Press the LEFTor RIGHTdirection control button to scroll and select the Color Effect menu. 3) Press the UPor DOWNdirection control button to scroll through the menu options. 4) Press the SETbutton to select and save the desired option. 5) A selected option icon will appear on the selected item.
Image Sharpness Menu You can set the level of sharpness in the images taken with your camera. The sharpness level dictates if the edges of objects in the image are more or less distinct. 1) Press the SETbutton to open the menus for the current mode. 2) Press the LEFTor RIGHTdirection control button to scroll and select the Image Sharpness menu. 3) Press the UPor DOWNdirection control button to scroll through the menu options. 4) Press the SETbutton to select and save the desired option.

Metering Menu The Metering setting will affect how your camera focuses when capturing an image. Depending on your selection, the camera will be more sensitive to focusing on particular areas in the display and adjust the image color and lighting accordingly.

Scroll through the window with the RIGHTand LEFTnavigation buttons. For each field in the menu, use the UPand DOWNnavigation buttons to set the date and time. When you have finished setting the date and time, press the SETbutton to save your settings and return to the previous mode.
Auto Power Off Menu You can use the Auto Power Off feature in order to conserve you camera’s battery life. The designated time represents when your camera will automatically power off. When the camera sits idle for the designated period of time, the camera will shut off completely and will need to be powered on again with the power button before the next use. 1) Press the SETbutton to open the menus for the current mode.

Format Memory Card Menu You can use the Format Memory Card menu to delete all of the content that is currently on your camera’s memory card.
Firmware (Factory Default Settings) Menu Use this menu to view the Firmware version on your camera or to reset your camera settings to the Factory Default Settings. 1) Press the SETbutton to open the menus for the current mode. 2) Press the LEFTor RIGHTdirection control button to scroll and select the Firmware menu. 3) The “Default Setting” is selected. 4) Press the SETbutton to reset the camera to the factory default settings. 5) You will be asked to confirm the resetting to the factory default settings.
PHOTO PLAYBACK MODE The Playback Mode allows you to review and edit photos that you’ve already taken with you camera. When you first turn on the camera, the camera will be in Photo Capture mode by default. Press the MODEbutton once to open the PlaybackMode. The latest captured image appears on the LCD screen. If there are no images stored, a message (No File) appears.
THUMBNAIL VIEW Easily navigate and select the image you wish to view by using the Thumbnail View. The images on your camera will be displayed in a 3 X 3 matrix where you can use the direction buttons to scroll and select images from the thumbnails. 1) Press the W/Zoom Out button. All the images on your camera will appear in the Thumbnail View. 2) Use the UP / DOWN / LEFT / RIGHT direction buttons to scroll and select the image you wish to view. 3) Press the SETbutton to enlarge the selected image full size.
SET To select a JPG in the Thumbnail View: press the SET button Opens the menu options for Photo Playback Mode Saves your selected menu option NOTE: To navigate through the Menus, use the UP / DOWN / LEFT / RIGHT direction control buttons. PHOTOPLAYBACK MO DE MENUS The following are the menus that appear in your camera’s Photo Playback Mode: Delete Menu While in the Playback Mode, you can delete pictures from your camera through the Delete menu. 1) Select the photo you would like to delete.
4) 5) 6) 7) 8) Press the UPor DOWNdirection control button to scroll through the menu options. To delete the selected photo: Select “Delete This Photo” and press SETbutton. You will be asked to confirm the deletion of the photo. If you would like to proceed with deleting the current image: select ‘Yes’ and press the SETbutton to confirm. The photo will be deleted and you will exit the menu and return to the Playback mode.
3) Press the LEFTor RIGHTdirection control button to scroll and select the ViviLink menu. 4) Press the UPor DOWNdirection control button to scroll through the menu options. 5) Press the SETbutton to select the desired option. 6) A selected option icon will appear on the selected item. 7) An icon will appear on the image with the selected ViviLink destination site when you return to the Playback display. 8) Remember that the ViviLink feature is deactivated by default.
Crop Image Menu You can crop any picture on your camera with the Crop feature. 1) View the photo you would like to crop. 2) Press the SETbutton to open the menus for the current mode. 3) Press the LEFTor RIGHTdirection control button to scroll and select the ‘Crop’ menu. 4) Press the UPor DOWNbutton to highlight the Crop option. 5) Press the SETbutton to select and open the Crop option. 6) The Crop window opens on the selected picture.
7) 8) 9) Press the MODEbutton to exit the menu and return to your previous mode. Any image that is locked will display a lock symbol on the LCD screen when viewing that image in the playback mode. Photos that are not locked will not display the lock symbol. Remember that you cannot delete or edit photos while they are locked. Print This Photo Menu You can use the Print Photos menu to print the photos that are on your camera directly to a Pictbridge compatible printer.

VIDEO CAPTURE MODE The Video Capture Mode allows you to capture videos with your digital camera. When the camera is first powered ON, the camera will be in Photo Capture Mode. Press the MODEbutton once to access the Video Capture Mode. TAKING A VIDEO 1) While in Video Capture Mode use the LCD display to direct the camera at the scene you would like to capture. 2) Press the T/Zoom Inand W/Zoom Out buttons to better set the camera display if desired.

Light Exposure Menu The Light Exposure setting helps you control the amount of light that enters your camera’s lens. This setting should be adjusted when the environment is lighter or darker than normal.

When the ISO is reduced, the image sensor in your camera will be less sensitive to light and will optimize the image quality in environments with bright lighting. 1) Press the SETbutton to open the menus for the current mode. 2) Press the LEFTor RIGHTdirection control button to scroll and select the ISO menu. 3) Press the UPor DOWNdirection control button to scroll through the menu options.
Date/Time Menu When you capture an image with your camera, the image will include a time stamp with the date and time that the image was taken. The Date/Time menu allows you to set your camera’s date and time as desired. You can also disable the timestamp for future images that will be taken with your camera.

VIDEO PLAYBACK MODE The Playback Mode allows you to review and edit photos and videos that you’ve already taken with your camera. When you first turn on the camera, the camera will be in Photo Capture mode by default. Press the MODEbutton twice to open the PlaybackMode. The latest captured image appears on the LCD screen. If there are no images stored, a message (No File) appears.
THUMBNAIL VIEW Easily navigate and select the image you wish to view by using the Thumbnail View. The images on your camera will be displayed in a 3 X 3 matrix where you can use the direction buttons to scroll and select images from the thumbnails. 1) Press the W/Zoom Out button 2) All the images on your camera will appear in the Thumbnail View. 3) Use the UP/ DOWN/ LEFT/ RIGHTdirection buttons to scroll and select the image you wish to view. 4) Press the SETbutton to enlarge the image full size.

PART3: INSTALLINGAND USINGTHEVIVITAR EXPERIENCE IMAGE MANAGER SOFTWARE You must be connected to the internet to install and run the Vivitar Experience Image Manager software. 1) Insert the installation CD into your CD-ROM drive. The installation screen should automatically open. 2) On PC: The Vivitar Experience Image Manager Installer window appears. If the window does not appear, open the application’s CD/DVD drive and click on “Setup.exe” to launch the installer.
NOTE: If you do not have internet access, you can still download media from the camera. Click the “How to transfer photos and videos from my camera to my computer” button for instructions. 5) If you have internet access, the “Choose your language” window opens, choose your language and click “Next” to open the next window. 6) Select your camera model from the list and click “Next” to open the next window. 7) Click “Next” to confirm your camera model selection and to install the application.

Click the “Launch Vivitar Experience Image Manager” to open the application. 14) If you close the application you can run the Vivitar Experience Image Manager from the Programs (PC) or Applications (Mac) menu on your computer. CONNEC TING THE CAMERA TO HETCOMPUTER 1) Use the USB cable that came with your camera to connect your camera to your computer. 2) Power the camera ON.

Doing so will cancel the transfer of any files on their way to your computer. 1) Select the “Get Images” button from the Main menu. 2) The “Get images from device” window opens. 3) You can select to download photos, videos or both. 4) Select your camera (removable disk) from the device window.
