Primary PCI Segment
The Primary PCI Segment is a 64-bit/133MHz PCI-X bus. There are three major devices located on
the Primary PCI Segment:
1. AMCC 440GX processor. - This device has a built in arbiter which is used to arbitrate the
Primary PCI Segment.
2. QLOGIC ISP2312 Dual FC Controller.
3. PCI6540 PCIX-to-PCIX bridge (via its primary side).
IDSEL Assignment
• AD[17] is used for the AMCC 440GX Processor IDSEL
• AD[18] is used for the PCI6540 PCIX-to-PCIX Bridge (Primary Side) IDSEL
• AD[19] is used for the QLOGIC ISP2312 PCIX-to-FC Bridge IDSEL
