Figure 26 on page 86 depicts the target user data storage layout for 1,000 
virtual desktops. Figure 28 on page 89 depicts the target user data storage 
layout for 2,000 virtual desktops. 
2.  Provision ten 1 TB (for 500 virtual desktops), 1.5 TB (for 1,000 virtual 
desktops), or 3 TB (for 2,000 virtual desktops) LUNs each from the 
pool to present to Data Mover as dvols that belong to a system-
defined NAS pool. 
3.  Provision four file systems from the NAS pool to be exported as CIFS 
shares on a CIFS server. 
FAST VP Configuration (optional) 
Optionally, you can configure FAST VP to automate data movement 
between storage tiers. You can configure FAST VP in two ways: 
  To View and manage FAST VP at the pool level, select a storage 
pool and click Properties to open the Storage Pool Properties 
dialog box. 
Figure 48 shows the tiering information for a specific FAST VP enabled pool.

  The Tier Status section shows FAST VP relocation information 
specific to the pool selected. Scheduled relocation can be 
selected at the pool level from the Auto-Tiering menu. This can 
be set to either Automatic or Manual. In the Tier Details section, 
you can see the exact distribution of the data. Click Relocation 
Schedule to open the Manage Auto-Tiering window shown in 
Figure 49.
