Note: For high availability during failure scenarios, it may be necessary to
restart virtual machines on different hardware, those physical servers will
need to have resources available. Follow the specific recommendations
in Compute layer to enable this functionality.
Networking components
The networking components can be implemented using 1 Gb or 10 Gb IP
networks, provided that bandwidth and redundancy are sufficient to meet
the listed requirements.
Storage component
VMware Horizon Data can use NFS or block storage to provide data
service. The EMC VNX storage family is the number one external storage
platform in the industry. Its ability to provide file and block access with a
broad feature set makes it an ideal choice for VMware Horizon Data.
The EMC VNX series supports a wide range of business class features ideal
for Horizon Data including:
  Thin Provisioning
Fully Automated Storage Tiering for Virtual Pools
  Fast Cache
  Data Compression/file deduplication
  Replication
  Checkpoints
  File-Level Retention
  Quota Management and many more
