Retry a Request
Ifarequesttocommissionordecommissionavirtualmachineencountersanerror,theLCMITStaffusercan
retrytherequest.
To retry a request
1LogintoLCM.
2ClickPlacement.
Thevirtualmachineswaitingtobeplacedarelistedintheleftpane.
3Clicktheentryforthevirtualmachinethathasencountered
anerror.
4ClickRetrynearthetopoftherightpane.
5 SelectYesforWouldyouproceed?andclickSubmit.
Validate a Request After Manual Intervention
Occasionallyarequestmightrequiremanualintervention.Forexample,iftheSysprepprocessinsidethe
virtualmachinedoesnotruntocompletionasthevirtualmachineiscloned,youmightneedtoopenthe
virtualmachineinthevCenterClientandcompletetheprocessmanually.Youcanthenvalidatethevirtual
machinesothatLCMcanresumemanagingtherequest.
To validate a requested virtual machine

2ClickPlacement.
Thevirtualmachineswaitingtobeplacedarelistedintheleftpane.
3Clicktheentryforthevirtualmachinethathasencounteredanerror.
4ClickValidationnearthetopoftherightpane.
5IntheComment
textbox,typeacomment.
6ClickSubmit.
Approve or Reject Requests for Customization Changes
Youcan approveorrejectarequesttochangethecustomizationtemplateattributesofavirtualmachineifthe
LCMAdministratorhasconfiguredLCMtorequireanapproval.IftheLCMAdministratorhasenabledemail
notifications,youreceiveanotificationwhenacustomizationchangeisrequested.
