Adjusting the shoulder pad of the base plate: 1. Unscrew the 3 screws holding the rubber pad in place. 2. Select the position of the rubber pad (1 of the 6 holes). 3. Reattach the rubber pad to the base plate using the 3 screws. Adjusting the rail locks: The rail locks contain a ratchet mechanism, allowing for easy adjustment of the clamping system. Simply pull red winged nut outward and rotate to adjust.
Attaching the base plate to the camera: 1. Position the base plate on the desired horizontal position. 2. Align the camera screws with the holes in the camera. 3. Tighten the camera screws using a screw driver.
Height adjustment of the rails: 1. Partially unscrew the height adjustment screws. 2. Align the 15mm rails with the camera lens using the Alignment card. The circular pattern should be centered on the camera lens. 3. Retighten the height adjustment screws.
Adjusting the dovetail lock: 1. Remove the locking screw. 2. Tighten or loosen the dovetail adjustment screw to adjust the locking 3. mechanism of the dovetail. (CW to tighten CCW to loosen) Often only a very slight adjustment is required. Reattach the locking screw in one of the 3 holes around the dovetail adjustment screw. Choose the hole that lines up the best with the shape of the dovetail adjustment screw.
Available accessories: Rear rail clamping block #0350-2010 Connects to the back of the USBP and allows the use of rear 15mm rails. This item is also height adjustable on the USBP. V-lock base plate for USBP-15F #0350-2040 This V-lock plate can be attached to the bottom of the USBP-15F and makes the base plate compatible with V-lock quick release tri-pod plates such as the Sony VCT-14.
