1. Turn off the unit and allow it to cool completely.
Unplug the power cord.
2. Open the door by swinging the handle to the left
and pulling the door to the right.
3. The smoke curtain is held on by two smoke curtain
hooks, hanging it behind the furnace door.
4. Loosen the bolts holding the smoke curtain hooks
in place.
5. Slide the smoke curtain hooks out of place and
lower the smoke curtain.
6. The ue bafe is located at the top of the rebox.
Note: Some units have two ue bafes. 23398 only
comes with one ue bafe. When replacing two
ue bafes, two 23398 will need to be ordered.
7. The ue bafe sits in a grove designed to keep it in
place. To remove the ue bafe, rst push up and
then pull back toward the front of the unit. Note:
Be careful the ue bafe weighs approximately 9
lbs.
8. Slide the new ue bafe into the furnace, lift t up
and slide into the groove it was designed to sit in
(repeat the process if replacing two).
9. Reattach the smoke curtain by sliding the smoke
curtain hooks back into the slots of the smoke
curtain. Tighten the bolts to hold them securely in
place.
WARNING:
Allow the stove to cool before carrying out any maintenance or cleaning.
