3.2-Liter V6 Gasoline Engine
The 3.2-liter V6 gasoline engine, a further
development of the 2.8-liter V6 engine,
is also used in the Phaeton in some
markets. Due to the off-road capability of
the vehicle, some of the components
had to be modified.
Engine Management
• Motronic ME 7.1.1 engine
management system.
• Exhaust gas system with two
preliminary catalytic converters and a
main catalytic converter.
• Control of the internal exhaust gas
recirculation via the camshaft adjustment.
• Second-generation On-Board Diagnosis
(OBD II) with MIL.
