Selector Lever Locks
The selector lever is locked by:
Shift Lock Solenoid N110
Selector Lever Park Position
Solenoid N380
The ignition key can be removed only when
the selector lever is in the “P” position.
The Selector Lever Park Position Lock
Switch F319 signals to the Access/Start
Control Module J518 that the selector lever
is in the “P” position.

Effect of failure
If one of the signals fails or the Shift Lock
Solenoid N380 is defective, then the
selector lever cannot be moved out of the
“P” position. The selector lever must
be manually unlocked to allow moving of
the vehicle.
To manually unlock the selector lever:
The selector lever covering must be
removed and the solenoid actuated
by hand.
The selector ever must be
simultaneously moved out of the
“P” position.
