Tailgate
The tailgate of the Touareg consists of
a separate flip-up rear window and the
tailgate itself.
The rear window and the tailgate are
secured by a locking mechanism when
the window is closed.
Two Pairs of Gas-Filled Struts

Two pairs of gas-filled struts ensure
comfortable opening and closing of the rear
window and the tailgate. They are attached
to the body so that they are invisible from
the outside.
