11. VARIOUS BASIC SETTINGS (“USER SET”)

In the main menu, select the “USER” menu with the button “Batt Type/Stop”.

Follow the steps below to change any of the settings.

1. To select the parameter to change, press “Start/Enter” to make it blink.

2. To change the value, press the “Inc” or “Dec” key.

3. To store the value, press “Start/Enter” again.

4. To switch to the next setting, press “INC”. (Or press “Dec” to go back to the previous setting.

5. To return to the main menu, press “Batt Type/Stop”.

Changing the Lithium Battery Type

LiFe

V.Type 3.3V

Here you can select one of the three lithium battery types: (“LiPo”, “LiIo”, “LiFe”).

You can select the cell voltage “3.3”, “3.6” or “3.7”. At the same time, the corresponding battery type

changes in the top line.

The settings made here for the lithium battery type then applies for ALL other functions,

e.g. charging, discharging, etc. (see chapter 11).

Setting the Time to Check Cell Count

LiPo/LiIo/LiFe

CHK Time 10min

Here you can set the time in which the charger checks a connected lithium battery for the correct

cell count and terminates the charge process, if applicable. This may be especially helpful with deep

discharged batteries. For an battery with a higher capacity, set a longer time, for one with a lesser

capacity a correspondingly shorter time.

You can select the time from between 5 to 60 minutes.
