Setting the Trickle Charge Mode
NiMH / NiCD / Pb
Trickle 190 mA
Trickle charging can prevent overcharging and helps to maintain the battery at its full capacity. Please
note that the maximum trickle charge is 200 mA.
When the trickle current is below 200mA, the tolerance is approximately 10mA.
You can set it ON or OFF. When it is ON, trickle charging will begin automatically after fast charging
stops.
Setting the Safety Timer
Safety Timer
ON 120min
If for any reason, the charger is unable to detect (with delta-U detection) the charging status of
the battery, the charge process will be terminated automatically after a set time. This protects the
battery from overloading. However, do not set the time too short, otherwise the battery will not be
fully charged.
You can set the safety timer ON or OFF.
You can select the time for the timer (10 to 720 min).
Calculate the time for the safety timer as follows:
Example:
Battery capacity Charge current Timer time
2000mAh 2.0A 2000 / 2.0 = 1000 / 11.9 = 84 minutes
3300mAh 3.0A 3300 / 3.0 = 1100 / 11.9 = 92 minutes
1000mAh 1.2A 1000 / 1.2 = 833 / 11.9 = 70 minutes
With factor 11.9, the battery is charged with 140% capacity before the safety timer kicks in.
Setting the Capacity Cut-Off
Capacity Cut-OFF
ON 5000mAh
This safety function of the charger terminates the charge process if the battery reaches a certain
charge capacity.
You can choose to set this function ON or OFF.
You can also choose the capacity (10 to 20000mAh). For a quick adjustment, hold the corresponding
button for a longer period of time.
