In manual mode, the batteries are charged with the current you have set.
In automatic mode, the charger calculates the charge current automatically, all you
do is set the top limit for the charge current. Shorter charging times can be achieved
depending on the battery and its internal resistance.
4. Change the charge current (or in automatic mode the top limit for the charge current) using the
buttons “INC” and “DEC”, conrm the value using the “Start/Enter” button. The number of cells is
established automatically!
5. To begin the charging process, keep the “Start/Enter” button pressed (approx. 3 seconds).
6. If the charger detects an error (e.g. no battery connected), a warning signal is emitted and a
corresponding info appears on the display. You can stop the audio signal by pressing the “Batt
Type/Stop” button. You then return to the previous conguration menu.
7. If the battery is detected correctly. the following display appears, for example:
Battery type / Charge current / Battery voltage
NiMH 2.0A 7.42V
CHG 043:20 01253
Current charging duration Charge capacity in mAh
8. Once the charging process has been completed, an audio signal is emitted (if not turned off).
If you wish to terminate the charging process beforehand, press the „Batt Type/ Stop“
button.
b) Discharging batteries (“DISCHARGE”)
1. After you have selected the “NiMH” or “NiCd” program in the main menu with the button “Batt Type/
Stop” and conrmed this with the button “Start/Enter”, you can select the discharge function using
the button “INC” or “DEC” (illustration shows NiMH battery):
NiMH DISCHARGE
0.1A 0.1V
2. If the discharge current and the discharge voltage need to be set, press the “Start/Enter” button.
The discharge current blinks.
3. Change the discharge current using the buttons “INC” and “DEC”, conrm the value using the
“Start/Enter” button. You can set a value between 0.1A and 1.0A.
4. Afterwards, the nal discharge voltage blinks, which is also set with the buttons “INC” and “DEC”.
Voltage values between 0.1V and 25.0V are possible.
