2. INTENDED USE
The “Multicharger-Discharger B6 Duo” is used to charge NiCd + NiMH type batteries
(1-18 cells), LiPo/LiIon/LiFe batteries (1-6 cells) and lead acid batteries (1-10 cells,
2 V - 20 V).
The charge current can be set between 0.1 A and 10 A depending on the connected
batteries and their cell number/capacity (see tables in chapter 24).
Batteries can also be discharged; the discharge current is between 0.1 A to 5.0 A (see
tables in chapter 24).
The charger may only be connected to a stabilised direct current voltage between 11 V/DC
and 18 V/DC.
A two-line illuminated LC display and several touch-sensitive keys are used to control the
charger.
There are two independent input channels available for charging/discharging. Each of the
charging channels has a connection for an external temperature sensor.
A balancer is integrated into the charger for LiPo/LiIon/LiFe batteries, with balancer
connector sockets for the battery located at the front of the charger.
Via a USB connection and the included software (PC with windows operating system
required, recommended as of Windows XP) the charging/discharging process can be
monitored.
A USB-A socket can be used to charge the respective USB devices (e.g. MP3-player, etc.)
