Initial operation
General information
The laboratory power supply units are not chargers. To charge batteries, use suitable chargers with a
charging current cut-off.
Connecting the Power Cable
• Connect the optional earthing mains cable to the low-power device installation socket (15) on the pow-
er unit. Make sure it is plugged properly.
Connect the power cable to a shockproof mains socket with protective grounding.
Basic operation
Make sure that there are no consumers connected to the mains power supply.
• Switch on the mains power supply at the power switch (1). The display shows the start message and
the device is initialised. The parameter display appears after a few seconds.
Display and navigation
• The parameters are displayed in the top three lines, the fourth line serves as function line. The selec-
table functions are displayed in this line. These functions can be selected with the buttons below
(9, 10 and 11) and changed with the rotary dial (3).
• The adjustment functions can be selected in sequence with
the button „MENU“ (11). After the last function, the device
switches back to the first setup function. When pressing the
button „MENU“, „Mode Changed“ appears briefly.
• The sequence of the setup function is defined as follows
UCoarse  U Fine  Umax  Imax  Pmax  Keylock  UCoarse ...
• The parameters have the following meaning:
• Uo Output voltage Umax Top voltage limit
• Io Output current Imax Top current limitation
• Po Output power Pmax Top capacity limit

In activation status, the setting function "UCoarse" is always active for setting the voltage
and the maximum limitation parameters are reset. The activation voltage "Uo" is preset to
12 V by default when activating the device.
