Hiervoor wordt de 24-V-gelijkspanning met een IC-geregelde schakeling op 12-VDC verlaagd/omgevormd. De DC/DC-omvormer werkt met een schakelfrequentie van ca. 10 kHz tot ca. 60 kHz (belastingsafhankelijk) en heeft een overbelasting- en kortsluitingbeveiliging (10-A-zekering voor de SDC 210; 20A voor de SDC 225 en 40A resp. 2 x 20A voor de SDC 245). Fonctionnement Le convertisseur de courant continu cadencé permet de raccorder des récepteurs à 12 V C.C., tels que des glacières, des boîtes isothermes et des réfrigérateurs ou encore des appareils hi-fi portatifs, à un réseau / système de batteries à 24 V C.C.. A cet effet, la tension continue de 24 V est réduite / convertie à 12 V C.C. par une commutation cadencée réglée par l'intermédiaire d'un circuit intégré.

Decken Sie niemals die Lüftungsschlitze/Kühlrippen des Wandlers ab, da sonst ein Wärmestau entstehen kann, der zur Beschädigung des Wandlers führen kann. c) Sicherungswechsel Es ist sicherzustellen, daß nur Sicherungen vom angegebenen Typ und der angegebenen Nennstromstärke als Ersatz verwendet werden. b) Connection/start-up After assembly, connect the DC/DC converter to the vehicle's 24 VDC battery supply system. When connecting/operating the battery/batteries connected, refer to the instructions of the accumulator manufacturer. Finally, the service life of the converter and/or the converter capacity depends also on the charge condition and the age of or the "care" to the battery/batteries (acid level in case of lead-acid accumulators, terminal maintenance).
