Installation
When mounting the product, do not drill any additional holes or screws into the casing.
When mounting the product on a wall, be careful not to damage power, gas or water
pipes!
Use the back of the module, not the LCD side, as a template to outline the position of the module in the
desired object, and then cut out a hole. The recommended outline size is 45.5 x 22 mm. Use a spirit level
to ensure that the hole is horizontally aligned.
Pass the wire and probe through the hole.
Place module onto the hole and then push gently on the front casing (not the LCD) until the module locks
into place.
Thread the wire and probe outdoors to a suitable location and secure the probe. The probe can be placed
up to 2 meters from the module.
When measuring temperatures below 0 °C or above 50 °C, install the module away from the
probe. If possible, the ambient temperature should be between 0 °C and 50 °C to ensure that
the LCD works properly. Between -10 °C and –19.9 °C, the minus sign will stick to the rst digit,
(e.g. ).
Inserting and replacing the battery
Ensure that the battery is inserted in the correct polarity. Remove the battery if the device
is not going to be used for a long period of time to avoid damage through leaking.
Use a pin, small at screwdriver or a sharp object to push the button cell out of the battery compartment.
Insert the button cell (CX927) into the battery compartment with the positive terminal facing towards you.
The battery indicator will blink when the battery is nearly empty.
Operation
The measured temperature will be displayed on the LCD.
When the measured temperature is higher than 70°C, ‘H’ will be displayed. When the measured
temperature is lower than -50°C, ‘L’ will be displayed.
Rapid temperature changes may damage the product.
Care and cleaning
Clean the casing of the module with a damp, anti-static cloth. Do not use abrasives or solvents!
