VORAD

COLLISION WARNING SYSTEM
The Eaton
®
VORAD
®
computerized Collision Warning System
constantly monitors vehicles ahead with a front end-mounted radar and
in a blind spot area with an optional side-mounted radar. The Collision
Warning System warns the driver of potentially dangerous situations by
activating visual and audible alerts.
The Eaton
®
VORAD
®
Collision Warning System is
intended solely as an aid for an alert and
conscientious professional driver. It is not to be
used or relied upon to operate the vehicle. Use
this system together with rear view mirrors and
other instrumentation to maintain safe operation
of the vehicle. Operate a VORAD
®
equipped
vehicle in the same safe manner as if VORAD
®
was
not installed.
The Eaton
®
VORAD
®
Collision Warning System is
not a substitute for safe driving procedures nor
will it compensate for any driver impairment, such
as drugs, alcohol or fatigue.
The Eaton
®
VORAD
®
Collision Warning System
may provide little or no warning for some hazards
like: alerts for pedestrians, animals, oncoming
vehicles and cross traffic. SmartCruise will not
react to stationary objects and it does not have the
capability to stop the vehicle.
Failure to follow these instructions may lead to a
vehicle accident resulting in severe personal
injury or death.
If your vehicle is equipped with the Eaton
®
VORAD
®
Collision Warning
System, read the manufacturer's Driver Reference Manual before
taking the vehicle on the road.
