Reposition or shield any parts that would be damaged by high
temperatures during welding.
Complete the battery cable removal by removing the positive cable
last.
앫 Attach the welder ground cable as close to the weld area as
possible (6 inches or less from the place being welded).
앫 DO NOT connect the welder ground cable near any electronic
module, such as the EECU or its cooling plate.
앫 Welding cables should not be allowed to lie on, or run parallel
with any wiring.
앫 Welding cables should not be allowed to lie near any electronic
component during welding.
앫 After welding is complete and the welded areas have cooled,
inspect wiring and components for possible shorts, nicks,
abrasion or other damage.
