User Servicing Instructions 1. Using the product controls, turn off the appliance. 2. Grasp the plug (not the cord) and disconnect from the outlet. 3. Risk of Fire. Replace fuse only with 2.5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse as approved by Vornado Consumer Service. For an authorized replacement fuse, please contact Vornado Consumer Service. 4. Once the replacement is received, use a small flat-head screwdriver to slide open the fuse cover (located on the plug) (See next page, Fig. A). 5.

GETTING STARTED Your EXPAND will arrive in the collapsed position, but setup is a breeze. 1 2 3 1. Unpack your EXPAND and lay it on a flat surface. 2. Keeping base legs together, lower base legs under the fan head. 3. Separate the base legs to create a solid base and set your EXPAND in the upright position. Gently pull the inlet guide cone located on the back of the product to release the cord. Unwind cord. NOTE: You MUST release the cord before moving to the next step.
4 5 6 4. Using the pull tabs provided, use both hands to extend the back side of fan body. 5. Using the "VORNADO" pull tab provided on the front of the grill, gently pull to extend the front side of the fan body. 6. Your EXPAND is now set up and ready to use. NOTE: The product should be in the upright position with legs fully extended before use. NOTE: To repack your EXPAND, follow steps 1-5 above in reverse order.
CONTROLS Controls are located on the back of the product.
CLEANING Because your EXPAND moves a substantial amount of air, it will need regular cleaning. The fan has no user serviceable parts inside and cannot be opened for cleaning. Never clean the product in any manner other than instructed in this owner's guide. 1. Power off and unplug the unit prior to cleaning. 2. Dust or wipe the circulator with a damp cloth. 3. Use the brush attachment on your household vacuum cleaner to vacuum any accumulated dust.
TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEM The unit fails to power on. POSSIBLE CAUSE AND SOLUTION Unit is not plugged in. Plug Power Cord into electrical outlet. Ensure unit fan speed setting is selected. Plug fuse has blown. Replace fuse (See USER SERVICING INSTRUCTIONS on page 5). Unit is damaged or in need of repair. Cease usage and unplug. Contact Consumer Service for assistance. The outlet is worn or damaged. Try another outlet or contact a qualified electrician. Airflow is weak or slow.
