User`s guide

If you need to connect more than one VST FireWire drive to a single com-
puter, you may do so in two ways. If your computer has more than one
FireWire port, you may connect another drive to an unused FireWire port.
Alternatively, you may daisychain multiple VST FireWire drives by
connecting each additional drive to the unused port on the last drive in
the chain. See Connection Guidelines, below, for more information.
IMPORTANT: If you daisy chain more than two bus-powered
FireWire devices on a single computer FireWire Port, there may not
be enough power available from your computer to power-up
another drive. In this case, you must power additional FireWire
devices using the optional VST FireWire drive AC adapter which is
available from VST.
In order to allow for adequate
cooling, do not stack drives
more than two high.
Each VST FireWire Hard Drive includes
two: (2) 1394 ports A,
an optional DC input receptacle B,
and locking slot for an optional
Kensington Lock C (refer to the inside
front cover for model #’s).
