INTRODUCTION Thank you for purchasing the VTech® Care for Me Learning Carrier™ learning toy! MODE SELECTOR SWITCH PIANO KEYS ON/OFF/VOLUME CONTROL SWITCH Introduction Come and play with the Care for Me Learning Carrier™. Slide, press and roll the sliders, buttons and rollers and be rewarded with playful phrases, cute songs and fun sounds. You can play ball with the puppy, help comb her hair and use the bottle and bowl to feed her.

GETTING STARTED BATTERY INSTALLATION BATTERY NOTICE • Use new alkaline batteries for maximum performance. • Use only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended. • Do not mix different types of batteries: alkaline, standard (carbonzinc) or rechargeable (Ni-Cd, Ni-MH), or new and used batteries. • Do not use damaged batteries. • Insert batteries with the correct polarity. • Do not short-circuit the battery terminals. • Remove exhausted batteries from the toy.
PRODUCT FEATURES To turn the unit ON, slide the ON/OFF/ VOLUME CONTROL SWITCH to the LOW VOLUME ( ) or the HIGH VOLUME ( ) position. To turn the unit OFF, slide the ON/ OFF/VOLUME CONTROL SWITCH to the OFF ( ) position. 2. MODE SELECTOR SWITCH To choose a mode of play, slide the MODE SELECTOR SWITCH to the LEARNING MODE ( ) or the PET CARE MODE ( ). 3.
2. Press the piano keys to learn numbers, colors, shapes and objects in the Learning Mode and hear playful phrases in the Pet Care Mode. The lights will flash with the sounds. 4. Press the puppy button to hear playful phrases and sounds in the Learning Mode and answer simple questions in the Pet Care Mode. The lights will flash with the sounds. 5. Slide the peek-a-boo slider to see fun surprises and hear playful phrases in both modes. The lights will flash with the sounds. Activities 3.
. If there is no input to the unit after approximately 10 seconds, you will hear a phrase and a song in the Learning Mode and a phrase and short tune in the Pet Care Mode. After another 10 seconds without input, you will hear a song in both modes. If there continues to be no input for another 10 seconds, the unit will play a short tune and power down. The unit can be turned on again by pressing any button, spinning the roller, sliding the slider or opening/closing the door. 1.
CARE & MAINTENANCE 1. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth. 2. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat source. 3. Remove the batteries when the unit is not in use for an extended period of time. 4. If for some reason the unit stops working or malfunctions, please follow these steps: 1. Please turn the unit OFF. 2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries. 3. Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries. 4. Turn the unit ON. The unit should now be ready to play again. 5. If the product still does not work, replace with a new set of batteries. If the problem persists, please call our Consumer Services Department at 1-800-521-2010 in the U.S.
