Private mailbox setup
Number of rings
You can set the number of times your handset rings before the
private mailbox picks up a call.
1. When the handset is idle, press M.Box.
2. Press
DIR or CID to scroll to Settings, then press
MENU/SELECT or Select.
3. Press
DIR or CID to scroll to Mailbox On or Announce only,
then press MENU/SELECT or Select.
4. Press
MENU/SELECT or select to choose No. of rings.
5. Press
DIR or CID to choose the desired number of times (2-7)
or Toll saver.
• Toll saver - the private mailbox answers a call after two rings
when there are new messages, and after four rings when
there are no new messages. This enables you to check for
new messages without paying for a toll call.
6. Press
MENU/SELECT or Select to save the setting.
Voice language
The default language for mailbox’s voice prompts is English. You
can change to use French if desired. To change the setting and
for more details, refer to the Voice language section in the user’s
manual of CM18445/AM18447 console.
