INTRODUCTION Thank you for purchasing the VTech® Dial & Discover Phone™ learning toy! LIGHT-UP SCROLLING SCREEN ON/OFF SWITCH Introduction The VTech® Dial & Discover Phone™ is an electronic phone for toddlers 6 months and up. Ten brightly colored light-up buttons teach a variety of learning activities including numbers, shapes, colors and sounds. Scroll through the screens to change the button responses and chat with your new friends.

Instructions & Activities GETTING STARTED BATTERY INSTALLATION 1. Make sure the unit is turned OFF. 2. Locate the battery cover on the back of the unit. Use a coin or screwdriver to loosen the screw. 3.
• Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Do not attempt to recharge ordinary batteries. The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited. Only batteries of the same and equivalent type as recommended are to be used. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickelcadmium) batteries. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THE USE OF RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES. PRODUCT FEATURES 1. ON/OFF SWITCH To turn the unit ON, slide the ON/OFF ) position.

Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and heat source. 3. Remove the batteries when the unit is not in use for an extended period of time. 4.
TROUBLESHOOTING If for some reason the program/activity stops working or malfunctions, please follow these steps: Turn the unit OFF. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries. Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries. Turn the unit ON. The unit should now be ready to play again. If the product still does not work, replace with a new set of batteries. If the problem persists, please call our Consumer Services Department at 1-800-521-2010 in the U.S.
