instructions. A limited set of features are described in abbreviated form.

ECO mode

This power conserving technology reduces power

consumption for optimal battery performance.

The ECO mode activates automatically during calls.

When this mode is on, the handset displays ECO.

encourages the use of products that save energy and help protect our

environment. We are proud to mark this product with the ENERGY STAR

label indicating it meets the latest energy efciency guidelines.

Headset attachments Earbud To remove the earbud from the headset earpiece: Hold both sides of the earbud and then pull the earbud until it separates from the earpiece. To attach the earbud to the headset earpiece: . Choose an appropriate earbud. . Press the earbud towards the earpiece until it clicks into place. Move the earbud around so that the protruding bump on the earbud is pointing towards your mouth when placed on your ear. The protruding bump on the earbud holds the headset securely in your ear.

To remove the ear hook from the headset: . Hold the headset with one hand and the ear hook with your other hand. . Pull the end of the ear hook up until it separates from the rotating clip on the headset. Headband To attach the head band to the headset: . Remove any headset attachment . Attach the ear pad to the headset connected to the headset. earpiece. 3. To wear the headset on your right ear, insert the end [A] of the head band into the rotating clip [B] on the headset until it clicks into place.

Cell ringer When you pair an iPhone (with iOS4.1 or above) to your DS6673, the DS6673 handsets play your iPhone’s ringer when you receive a call on your iPhone. . Press MENU when the phone is not in use. . Scroll to Bluetooth >> Press SELECT. 3. Scroll to Cell ringer >> Press SELECT. 4. Scroll to choose On or Off >> Press SELECT. Download phonebook . . 3. 4. Ringer volume You can adjust the ringer volume level, or turn the ringer off. . Press MENU when the handset is not in use. . Scroll to Ringers >> Press SELECT twice. 3. Scroll to adjust the volume >> Press SELECT. If the handset ringer volume is set to off, that handset is silenced for all incoming calls except paging tone. Quiet mode You can turn on the quiet mode for a period of time. During this period, all tones (except paging tone) and call screening are muted.

Temporary ringer silencing When the telephone is ringing, you can temporarily silence the ringer of the handset without disconnecting the call. The next call rings normally at the preset volume. • Press OFF, MUTE or on the handset. displays and Ringer muted displays briefly. • Press /VOL on the telephone base. • Press MUTE on the headset. Phonebook Your phone has three phonebooks, one home phonebook and two cell phonebooks, which are shared by all system handsets. The home phonebook stores up to 200 contacts and each cell phonebook stores up to 1000 contacts. To add a directory entry to the home phonebook: . Press MENU when the phone is not in use. . Scroll to Phonebook >> Press SELECT twice. 3. Scroll to Add contact >> Press SELECT. 4. Enter the number >> Press SELECT to move to the name. 5. Enter the name.

About answering system and voicemail Your telephone has separate indicators for two different types of voice messages: those left on the built-in answering system and those left at your telephone service provider’s voicemail. Each alerts you to new messages differently. • If XX new messages displays on the handset and the message window on the telephone base flashes, there are messages recorded on the built-in answering system. It can record up to 99 messages, depending on the length of each message.

Add and register a handset/headset The handsets and headset provided with your telephone system are already registered. Each handset is assigned a number that displays on the handset. Additional handsets registered to the telephone system are assigned numbers in the sequential order. This telephone system accommodates up to 12 devices, including a maximum of two DECT 6.0 headsets. The telephone base recognizes and counts a headset the same as a handset.

• Reset the telephone base. Unplug the unit’s electrical power. Wait for approximately 15 seconds, then plug it back in. Repeat the above suggestions. The PIN on the telephone base does not work. • Make sure you enter the correct PIN. The default PIN is 0000. My telephone does not work at all. • Make sure the battery is installed and charged correctly. For optimum daily performance, return the handset to the telephone base or charger after use.

5. Only put the handset of your telephone next to your ear when it is in normal talk mode. 6. The power adapters are intended to be correctly oriented in a vertical or floor mount position. The prongs are not designed to hold the plug in place if it is plugged into a ceiling, under-the-table or cabinet outlet.
