Answering system
Options during playback
When a message is playing, you can adjust the playback volume, skip, repeat,
or delete the message.
When messages are playing at the telephone base:
Press VOLUME to adjust the message playback volume (1-8).
To repeat the message currently playing, press
REPEAT after the answering system plays the
day and time the current message was received.
To listen to the previous message, press REPEAT
while the answering system is playing the day and
time the current message was received.
Press SKIP to skip to the next message.
Press SLOW to slow message playback. The
message window shows SL. Press again to resume
normal playback.
Press DELETE to delete the message. The telephone base announces,
“Message deleted.”
Press PLAY/STOP to stop the playback.
When messages are playing at the handset:
Press DIR/VOLUME to increase or CID/VOLUME to decrease the
message playback volume.
Press SPEAKER to switch between the speakerphone and
handset earpiece.
To repeat the message currently playing, press 4 after
the answering system plays the day and time the current
message was received.
To listen to the previous message, press 4 while the
answering system is playing the day and time the current
message was received.
Press 6 to skip to the next message.
Press EQUALIZER to change the quality of the audio of the handset to
best suit your hearing (see Equalizer on page 28).
If using the handset earpiece, press AUDIO ASSIST to enhance the clarity
and loudness of message playback (see Audio assist™ on page 28). Press
again to stop this feature.
Press 3 to delete the message. The handset announces, “Message deleted.”
Press 5 to stop the playback.
