GETTING STARTED BATTERY INSTALLATION 1. Make sure the unit is turned OFF. 2. Locate the battery cover on the bottom of the unit. Use a coin or screwdriver to loosen the screw. 3.

To turn the unit OFF, slide the ON/OFF/MODE SELECTOR SWITCH to the OFF ( ) position. 2.
76500IM.indd 6 4. AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF To preserve battery life, the VTech® Sing & Discover Story PianoTM will automatically power-down after approximately 30 seconds without input. The unit can be turned on again by pressing any button. 1. Slide the on/off/mode selector switch to turn the unit on and select a mode of play. You will hear a fun song and a variety of phrases. The lights will flash with the sound. 2. Turn the book pages to change all the button responses.
6500IM.indd 7 5. Move the puppy to hear fun sounds. If a melody is playing, move the puppy to increase the tempo of the melody or hold the puppy in one position to decrease the tempo of the melody. Stop moving the puppy to hear the melody resume normal play. The lights will flash with the sound. 6. Press the drum pad to hear a musical phrase and a variety of drum beats. Press the drum pad while a melody is playing to hear drum sounds play over the melody. The lights will flash with the sound.
