Delete all messages
Using the telephone base:
1. Press X/DELETE in idle mode. The
telephone announces, “To delete all
old messages, press DELETE again.”
2. Press X/DELETE again. All previously
reviewed messages are erased and
the telephone announces, “All old
messages deleted.”
Using a cordless handset:
1. Press MENU/SELECT in idle mode.
2. Press q CID or p to highlight
Answering sys, then press
MENU/SELECT.
3. Press q CID or p to highlight
Delete all old, then press
MENU/SELECT.
4. Press MENU/SELECT to confirm. The
handset displays Deleting..., then
No old messages and then returns
to the previous menu. You hear a
confirmation tone.
Record a memo
Memos are your own recorded messages
used as reminders for yourself or others
using the same answering system. You
can record your own memos using a
system handset or the telephone base.
Play and delete them the same way as
incoming messages.
1. Press MENU/SELECT on the handset
or telephone base in idle mode.
2. Press q CID or p to highlight
Answering sys, then press
MENU/SELECT.
3. Press q CID or p to highlight
Record memo, then press
MENU/SELECT. The system
announces, “Record after the tone.
Press 5 when you are done.” Speak
towards the handset microphone.
4. Press 5 to stop recording. The system
announces, “Recorded.” and then
returns to the previous menu. The
system does not save memos shorter
than two seconds.
NOTES
• Each message can be up to 3 minutes
in length.
• Play and delete them in the same way
as incoming messages.
• The system will announce “Memory is
full” if you record a memo when the
memory is full.
• Memos shorter than two seconds are
not recorded.
Answering system remote access
A two-digit security code is required to
access the answering system remotely
from any touch-tone telephone. The
preset code is 19. You can use this preset
code, or set your own.
1. Dial your telephone number from
any touch-tone telephone.
2. When the system plays your
announcement, enter the two-digit
security code.
3. Enter one of the following remote
commands.
Command Description
1 Play all messages.
2 Play new messages.
3
Delete the current messages (during
playback).
33 Delete all old messages.
4
Repeat the current message (during
playback).
5 Stop
*5 Hear a list of remote commands.
6
Skip to the next message (during
playback).
*7 Record a new annoucement.
8 End the call.
0 Turn the answering system on or off.
4. Hang up or press 8 to end the call.
NOTES
• If you do not press any keys after
you enter the remote access code,
all new messages play. If there are
no new messages, all old messages
play.
• Once the new messages have
played, the telephone announces
the help menu options. If you do
not press any key within 20 seconds,
the remote access call automatically
disconnects.
• When the answering system memory
is full, the telephone announces,
“Memory is full. Enter the remote
access code.”
• When the answering system is off,
the telephone answers after 10 rings,
and announces, “Please enter your
remote access code.”
