The following conditions apply to all goods within the product series of WE-LAN of Würth
Elektronik eiSos GmbH & Co. KG:
General:
This electronic component is designed and developed with the intention for use in general electronic equipment.
Würth Elektronik must be asked for a written approval (following the certain PPAP level procedure) before incorporating the components
into any equipment in the field such as military, aerospace, aviation, nuclear control, submarine, transportation, (automotive control,
train control, ship control), transportation signal, disaster prevention, medical, public information network etc. where higher safety and
reliability are especially required and/or if there is the possibility of direct damage or human injury.
Electronic components in general electronic equipment require a sufficient reliability evaluation-check for the safety, when used in
electrical circuits that require high safety, reliability functions or performance, prior to usage.
The component is designed and manufactured to be used within the datasheet specified values. The usage and operation of the product
out of the conditions specified in the datasheet, creates a risk to dissolve or harm the wire isolation, thus have to be avoided.
Direct mechanical impact to the product shall be prevented as the material of the core could flake or break.
Würth Elektronik products are qualified according to international standards, which are listed in each product reliability report. Würth
Elektronik does not guarantee any customer qualified product characteristics beyond Würth Elektroniks’ specifications, for its validity and
sustainability over time.
The responsibility for the functionality of the customer’s application and use in a particular customer design is always the autonomous
and full responsibility of the customer. All technical specifications for standard products also apply to customer specific products.
Product specific:
Soldering:
The solder profile must comply with the Würth Elektronik technical soldering specification. Other profiles will void the warranty.
All other soldering methods are at the customer’s own risk.
Strong forces which may affect the coplanarity of the components’ electrical connection with the PCB (i.e. pins), thus the soldering, shall
be avoided and will void the warranty.
Cleaning and Washing:
Washing agents used during the production to clean the customer application, might damage or change the characteristics of the wire
insulation, the marking or the plating. Washing agents may have a negative effect on the long-term functionality of the product.
Using a brush during the cleaning process could break the wire due to the small diameter with the consequence of open circuits. We
highly recommend not using a brush during the PCB cleaning process.
Potting:
If the product is potted in the costumer application, the potting material might shrink during and after hardening. The product is exposed
to the pressure of the potting material with the effect that the core,wire and termination is possibly damaged by this pressure. So are the
electrical as well as the mechanical characteristics endangered to be affected. After the potting material is cured, the core, wire and
termination of the product require the inspection for any reduced electrical or mechanical functions or potential destructions.
Storage Conditions:
The material characteristics of the electronic components create a limiting factors for the storage stability and a solderability decrease of
the terminations. Therefore, all products shall be used within the period of 12 months based on the day of shipment.
Do not expose the components into direct sunlight.
The storage conditions in the original packaging is defined according to DIN EN 61760-2.
Handling:
Violation of the technical product specifications such as exceeding the nominal rated current will void the warranty.
The general and product specific cautions comply with the state of the scientific and technical knowledge and are believed to be accurate
and reliable. However, no responsibility is assumed for inaccuracies or incompleteness.
