GETTING STARTED

The Cintiq driver is pre-installed on your Cintiq. When you are ready to begin using it, complete the

following steps.

7. For the first use of your Cintiq, connect it to a power source using the power cable and AC adapter. See

Rear and side views

for the locations of Cintiq features.

8. Press and hold the Power button for 2 to 3 seconds to turn on your Cintiq. Windows 8 will launch.

9. Make sure that you have wifi and Internet access.

10. Follow the on-screen steps for configuring Windows 8.

11. When Windows 8 configuration is complete, launch the Wacom Desktop Center:

• From the standard desktop, click the Wacom Desktop Center icon in the lower left task bar.

• On the Windows 8 Start screen, click the Wacom Desktop Center tile.

12. Wacom recommends that you click the Wacom Software Update, which is the first item in the Wacom

Desktop Center, to download the most recent version of the Cintiq driver.

You can access the Wacom Control Panel from the task bar on the standard desktop, or from a tile on the

Windows 8 Start screen.

Wifi network status is displayed in the status bar in the bottom right of the screen on the Windows standard

desktop, and in the bottom left corner on the Windows 8 Start screen when you swipe in from the right side

of the screen.
