Positioning Mode
The POSITIONING MODE controls how the screen cursor moves.
• In Pen Mode, wherever you place an Intuos tool on the tablet, the cursor jumps to the corresponding
point on the screen. This is the default setting for the Intuos Pen and Airbrush, and is required for
tracing.
• In Mouse Mode, the screen cursor is positioned like a mouse, requiring a “pick up and roll” action to
move the cursor on the screen. This is the default setting for the 4D Mouse and Lens Cursor.
If you are working with multiple tools, you may want to set your pen or airbrush to P
EN MODE for drawing,
and set your 4D Mouse to M
OUSE MODE for navigation.
Note : You can also switch between Pen Mode and Mouse Mode by clicking on the appropriate tablet
button, or by using the screen Pop-up Menu. See Customizing
