Setup
h Thinning the material
Thinning the spray material results in faster spraying, a better nish and less material usage.
Thin chalk, milk, latex and other thicker decorative paints with water
Oil-based materials need to be thinned with mineral spirits.
Transparent/semi-transparent stains, clear topcoats and lacquers do not require thinning.
Do not thin with materials that have a ashpoint below 100°F (38°C).
The material ashpoint should be shown on the material container.

1. Unscrew the container from the spray
gun.
Secure the thinning accessory to the
side of the container.
2. Fill the container with spray material
to the bottom of any one of the
notches on the thinning accessory.
Add water or mineral spirits to the top
of the same notch to thin by 10%.
Note: For every notch that the uid
level in the container rises, the spray
material is diluted by 10%.
3. Align the suction tube -
Spraying downwards: the angled
end of the suction tube should be
pointing toward the front of the
gun.
Spraying upwards: the angled
end of the suction tube should be
pointing toward the rear of the
gun.
4. Screw the container back onto the
spray gun and attach the hose to the
gun and base.
