Process Alarms
A process alarm is triggered by an IO-Link device. An IO-Link device sends the “Event
Code” and the “Event Qualifier” of the event to the IO-Link master. The following values
are set in the event qualifier:
TYPE = 1 (Notification)
MODE = 1 (Single shot)
SOURCE = 0 (Device/remote)
The IO-Link master sends this event to the IO controller as a process alarm. The value of
“Channel Error” is 0x9500 for standard events and 0x9501 for manufacturer-specific
events. The IODD of the IO-Link device contains manufacturer-specific events with mes-
sage text.
The following table describes the possible standard events of the IO-Link device.
