Instructions / Assembly

Flooring Area
The flooring area is any place that flooring will be
installed. This is where any underlayment or membrane
will be installed. Please do not include the area under
permanent fixtures such as a vanity.
Important Information: One Heating System Per Room
While calculating your in-floor heating square footage, make sure to calculate each room individually.
We recommend one roll/cable/mat and one thermostat per room as they heating element needs to be
used entirely. Here are some important information:
NEVER CUT the Heating Element or shorten the Heating Roll(s) or Cable(s)
NEVER fold or position the Heating Element so that it overlaps itself or other wires.
The heating portion of the heating device set shall not touch, cross over, or overlap
itself. This will cause dangerous overheating.
NEVER place built-in cabinets and other furniture with solid bases on the heated portion
of the floor.
NEVER connect two Heating Rolls to each other (in series). Only connect them in parallel
to the same control device.
Tiles will only be warm where the heating wire is installed. If there is no heating wire
directly under the area, it will not be warm.
Heated Area
The heated area is where the heating element(s) will be
installed. This area must include an inset from certain
permanent fixtures, please see the chart below. After
applying the insets, your heated area should be less than
your total flooring area.
