If your ISP gives your computer an IP address of 10.0.0.0/8 or one
that starts with 192.168 or 172.16 to 172.31, then your ISP uses
network address translation (NAT). You must get a public IP
address and disable NAT on your intranet router for full
functionality. Get instructions from your ISP.
Your TCP/IP Properties Table
To find your TCP/IP properties, use the instructions for your com-
puter operating system.
Microsoft Windows 2000 and Windows XP
1 Click Start > Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt.
2 At the MS-DOS prompt, type ipconfig /all and then press
Enter.
3 Record the values in the Your TCP/IP Properties Table on
page 14.
4 Close the window.
Microsoft Windows NT
1 Click Start > Programs > Command Prompt.
2 At the MS-DOS prompt, type ipconfig /all and then press
Enter.
