STOP Before you start A sump pump is an electrical device designed to operate in inherently wet environments. ALWAYS USE EXTREME CAUTION when installing or maintaining this product! System Connection 1.2 Vertical Stand Models The 20 & 30 gallon tanks are equipped with plastic stand base and 1” connection. 1. Fill the system and Pressure Tank until pumps cut off. 2. Open one or more fixture to drain the Pressure Tank. 3. If there is a momentary pause in the water flow from the time the Pressure Tank is emptied and the pump starts, adjust pump cut in setting clockwise slightly. 4. Close fixtures and refill Pressure Tank to pump cut off. Check time to fill. 5. Open fixtures and see if pause in water is eliminated. If not, continue adjusting pressure switch.

TROUBLE SHOOTING PROBLEMS POSSIBLE CAUSES/SOLUTIONS PUMP DOES NOT RUN AND MAKES HUMMING SOUND • • PUMP RUNS BUT DOES NOT DELIVER WATER • • • • • • • • • Line circuit breaker is off, or fuse is blown or loose Water level in sump has not reached turn-on level as indicated in installation drawing. Pump cord is not making contact in receptacle. Float is stuck. It should operate freely in basin. If all of the above are OK, then the motor could be malfunctioning. Check if valve is installed backwards.
