Instructions for 919 valve stem replacement
Tools needed
 •ReplacementValveStem
 •SpringPlungerWrench(straightbladedriverwithhole)
 •Pliers
1-Pullspoutstraightupoutoffaucet,slidethevalvelevertowardsthespoutholeandliftto
remove.
2-Afterthehandleisremovedunscrewthecross-barontopofthestem,withtheplunger
wrench,unscrewtheslottedcollarretainingthestem,griptopofstemwithpliers,pullupto
remove.
3-Replacethevalvestem.Screwtheslottedcollardownuntilittouchesthebottomofthe
thread,thisissucientforpropervalveoperation,donottighten.
4-Replacethecross-barandhandle.
Note:Whenthecross-barsareadjustedproperlytheendofthehandlewill“wiggle”upand
downatleast1/16”(atootighthandlewillcausethevalvetoleak.)
5-ReplacethespoutbyrotatingsidetosidewhilepushingdowntohelpguidetheO-ringsback
intoplace.
