Chapter 102: Using Synchronic as an AudioSuite Plug-In 607
Rendering a Synchronic Loop to
a Pro Tools Track
Once you have finished editing your loop in Syn-
chronic AudioSuite, you can render it to a selec-
tion in Pro Tools.
To render an audio loop to Pro Tools:
1 In the Pro Tools Edit window, select the por-
tion of an audio track where you want to place
the rendered audio.
2 Click Render to print the audio loop to the se-
lection.
Rendering an audio loop from Synchronic
AudioSuite to a selection in a Pro Tools au-
dio track overwrites any audio material in
that selection.
If you imported a selection from the Pro
Tools Timeline using the Load Selection but-
ton, you can improve any timing problems
that may exist by modifying the Timeline se-
lection before rendering the loop from Syn-
chronic. For example, if a percussive audio
event were late at the beginning of a bar,
you might load the bar into Synchronic with
the selection exactly at the onset of the
event. Then, you can modify the Timeline
selection to start exactly on “the grid.” Con-
sequently, Synchronic will render the modi-
fied loops to the new selection.
