MEASURING DOOR TRIM OPENING
The screen door is designed to fit door openings between 68” and 72” without
modifications. If the door opening measures less than 68” wide, the top and
bottom tracks will require cutting.
Narrow Door Modification (If needed)
Measure the current door trim opening and subtract that width from the standard
68” width, then add 1-7/8” to calculate the total amount to be cut (example: 68” -
66” + 1-7/8” for a total of 3-7/8” to be cut).
Cut the calculated amount from one end of each track, creating a straight cut. If
needed, remove any burrs from the cut end.
a. Determine which side you wish to open and close the most often and make this
the Latch Housing side (without the Slide Bolts).
TIP: Place housing face down on a soft surface to protect the finish during assembly.
