WEATHERWASH’S “OAKED” PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Weatherwash WHITE Maintenance Oil is used to tone the color for raw or Weatherwash stained
wood. It can be used to lighten stained wood, create the look of patina, highlight the grain, or cool
the color.
Weatherwash WHITE Maintenance Oil is a high quality, modified acrylic for the protection and
maintenance of all raw or Weatherwash stained wood.
USE: Interior use on wood walls, ceilings, floors, cabinetry, furniture, millwork, etc.

WOOD: For raw or Weatherwash stained wood.

WOOD PREP
Sand wood with the grain. Do not apply pretreaters.
PRODUCT PREP
PREPARATION
STIR WELL. Solids must be dispersed before using. Mix occasionally during
use to ensure that any settled materials are re-dispersed. Wood preparation: remove dust. If using on
raw wood, clean wood surface before using.
COVERAGE
1 Quart treats 125 sq. ft. of smooth wood.
APPLICATION
Using a rag or brush, apply a thin layer of Weatherwash Maintenance Oil. A thick layer will
not cure. Allow oil to penetrate the wood surface for 1-3 minutes. Immediately buff the surface with a
clean, white rag to remove excess oil.
DRYING TIME
Do not handle for the first 12 hours. Optimal hardness is reached after 48 hours. Do not
use any water or maintenance products during this period.
CLEAN UP
Clean spills immediately. Use paint thinner or mineral spirits to clean soiled brushes. Make
sure to wet maintenance oil soiled rags with water before throwing away!
WOOD CARE
Annual application rejuvenates the wood’s surface and prevents desaturation.
FINISHES
After a minimum of 48 hours apply your favorite hardshell Weatherwash topcoat (Varnish or
Polyurethane) per the directions on the can.
