DOUBLE INSULATION
CONSTRUCTION
This unit is double insulated to help pr o-
tect against electri c shock. Double insula-
tion construct i on consists of two separate
“l ayers” of el ectr i cal insulati on instead of
grounding. Tools and appliances built with
a double insulation system are not in-
tended to be grounded. No grounding
means is provided on thi s unit, nor should
a means of grounding be added to this
unit. As a result, the extension cord used
wit h your unit can be plugged into any
stan dard 120 vol t electri cal outl e t . Safety
precauti ons must be observed when op-
erati ng any electrical tool . The double in-
sulati on system only pro vides added pro-
tection against injury resulting from an
internal electrical insulation failure.
WARNING:
SERVI CI NG OF DOUBLE INSULATED
BLOWER/VACUUM
All el ectr i cal repair s to this unit, includi ng
housing, switch, motor, etc., must be diag-
nosed and repaired by qualif ied service
personnel. Replacement par t s for a
double insulated appliance must be iden-
tical to the part s they replace. A double in-
sulated appliance is marked with the
words “double insulation or “double insu-
lated” . The symbol
(square withi n a
square) may also be mar ked on the ap-
pliance. Failure to have the unit repaired
by an authori zed service dealer can
cause the double insulat i on construction
to become ineff ecti ve and result in serious
injury.
UNIT/MAINTENANCE SAFETY
S Do not set the unit on any surface except
a clean, hard area while the unit is run-

surfaces such as ladders, trees, steep
slopes, rooftops, etc. Use extra care
when cleaning on stairways. Keep firm
footing and balance at all times. Keep
hands out of tubes.
S Inspect the entire unit before each use for
worn, loose, missing, or damaged parts.
Do not use until the unit is in proper work-
ing order.

ommended procedures described in the
instruction manual performed by your au-
