Because it is an Ex d application all cable gland types (marked in blue) can come into consideration.
For Ex d applications the following questionnaire according to the IEC 60079-14 standard has to be passed to nd out if a barrier gland ([Type]=KUB) or if a cable
gland with a sealing ring ([Type]=KDSU,KDSW,KDSX) has to be used.
By passing this questionnaire with the given information of the example case the orange marked way has to be followed and the result is that a cable gland with
sealing ring has to be used. Consequently the blue marked cable gland types below can come into consideration.
