Einleitung 1.3 Anwendungsbereiche und nicht bestimmungsgemäße Anwendung Das hydraulische Akkucrimpwerkzeug APG 55 eignet sich zum Vercrimpen von Verbindungsmaterial bis zu einem max. Leiterquerschnitt von 240 mm², von Aderendhülsen bis zu einem Querschnitt von 120 mm² sowie zum Rundcrimpen von Sektorleitern bestimmt. Mit dem Crimpwerkzeug dürfen keine unter Spannung stehenden Teile verarbeitet werden. Das Werkzeug gilt als nicht isoliert.
Einleitung ACHTUNG Beim Arbeiten in der Höhe muss das Werkzeug ausreichend gegen das Herabfallen gesichert werden. Vor Verwendung des Gerätes muss die Beschaffenheit des akkuhydraulischen Crimpwerkzeuges mittels Sichtprüfung kontrolliert werden. Im Falle von Beschädigung darf das Gerät nicht verwendet werden. Die Rückwärtsbewegung bei Notsituation wird ausschließlich durch die Betätigung der mechanischen Rückstelltaste eingeleitet.
Einleitung 1.5 Aufbewahrung und Transport Um Ihr Crimpwerkzeug APG 55 vor Beschädigungen zu schützen, muss es nach jedem Gebrauch gesäubert werden. Verstauen Sie das Werkzeug anschließend im Transportkoffer und sorgen Sie dafür, dass dieser sicher verschlossen ist. 1.6 Fachpersonal Diese Bedienungsanleitung wendet sich an ausgebildetes Fachpersonal, das sich mit den geltenden Bestimmungen und Normen des Verwendungsbereichs auskennt. 1.
Einleitung 1.10 Recycling nach WEEE Entsorgung BtoB Mit dem Erwerb unseres Produktes haben Sie die Möglichkeit, das Gerät nach Ende seines Lebenszyklus an Weidmüller zurückzugeben. Die WEEE (EU-Richtlinie 2002/96 EG) regelt die Rücknahme und das Recycling von Elektroaltgeräten. Im B2B-Bereich (Business to Business) sind die Hersteller von Elektrogeräten ab dem 13.8.2005 dazu verpflichtet, Elektrogeräte die nach diesem Datum verkauft werden, kostenfrei zurückzunehmen und zu recyceln.
Einleitung 1.11 Gewährleistung Jegliche Mängel am Produkt, welche bei Anlieferung festgestellt werden, müssen spätestens und innerhalb von 8 Tagen ab Übergabe schriftlich dem Hersteller angezeigt werden, wobei das Transportdokument und eine konkrete Beschreibung der Art der Mängel beizulegen ist. Im Falle von versteckten Mängeln muss die Beanstandung innerhalb von 8 Tagen ab Entdecken derselben erfolgen und vor Ablauf eines Jahres ab Empfang des Produktes.

Bedienung 3.1 Inbetriebnahme des Gerätes Schieben Sie den Akku wie abgebildet in Ihr Crimpwerkzeug ein, bis die Sicherungstaster eingerastet sind. 3.2 Hinweis zur Verwendung des Akkus und des Ladegerätes Das Ladegerät ist je nach Version für 230 und 120 Volt 50-60 Hz ausgelegt. Die neuen Akkus werden teilgeladen ausgeliefert und müssen vor dem erstmaligen Gebrauch geladen werden.
Bedienung ACHTUNG Verwenden Sie in den Werkzeugen nur die jeweils dafür vorgesehenen Akkus. Die Verwendung anderer Akkus kann zu Verletzungen und Brandgefahr führen. Bei falscher Anwendung kann Flüssigkeit aus dem Akku austreten, mit der Sie nicht in Kontakt kommen sollten. Austretende Akkuflüssigkeit kann zu Hautreizungen oder Verbrennungen führen. Bei zufälligem Kontakt mit Wasser abspülen. Wenn die Flüssigkeit in die Augen kommt, nehmen Sie zusätzlich ärztliche Hilfe in Anspruch. 3.
Bedienung Öffnen Sie den Crimpkopf durch Ziehen an der Klinke (3). Das Schwenkjoch klappt anschließend, unterstützt durch Federkraft, zur Seite (siehe Zeichnung S.18). • Legen Sie die Crimpeinsatzhälften (4) nacheinander in die Aufnahme / Schwenkjoch (2) des Crimpkopfes (1) ein. • S chieben Sie die Hälften der Crimpeinsätze (4) soweit in Richtung Schwenkjoch (2) bzw. Aufnahme, bis die Crimpeinsatzhälften (4) klemmen. Stellen Sie den festen Sitz der Crimpeinsatzhälften (4) vor Arbeitsbeginn sicher.

Wartungshinweise 4. Wartungshinweise Das Crimpwerkzeug ist nach dem Gebrauch zu reinigen und trocken zu lagern. Sowohl Akku als auch Ladegerät müssen vor Feuchtigkeit und vor Fremdkörpern geschützt werden. Das Gerät ist im Prinzip wartungsfrei. Nach Ablauf der voreingestellten Arbeitszyklen muss Ihr Crimpwerkzeug zum Wartungsdienst, um eine fehlerfreie Funktion zu gewährleisten und die Langlebigkeit zu erhöhen. Verhalten bei Störungen 5. Verhalten bei Störungen Bei einer Störung wird das Crimpwerkzeug abgeschaltet und bleibt blockiert. Die Service LED leuchtet rot oder orange. Es kann erst wieder weitergearbeitet werden, wenn der Akku gewechselt bzw. kurzzeitig entfernt und wieder eingesteckt wird. Sollten nach dem „Reset“ des Werkzeuges die Störung noch vorhanden sein, wenden Sie sich an den Weidmüller Kundendienst. 5.

Garantie 7. Garantie Die Firma Weidmüller gewährt eine Garantie von zwei Jahren oder 20.000 Zyklen, bei sachgemäßer Bedienung ab dem Start der Garantiezeit. Die Garantiezeit beginnt mit dem Datum der 25ten Vercrimpung. Die Garantiezeit verlängert sich auf 36 Monate bzw. max. 20.000 Crimpzyklen nach erfolgter Wartung bei 10.000 Crimpzyklen durch ein autorisiertes Service Center (ASC). Ab der 20.000 Vercrimpung wird eine jährliche Wartung empfohlen, um eine einwandfreie Funktion zu gewährleisten.

Introduction 1.3 Application and use not in conformity with the intended purpose The hydraulic battery powered crimping tool APG 55 is designed to crimp terminals and connectors with up to 240 mm² maximum cable cross sections, for cord-end-sleeves up to a cross section of 120 mm² and for round-forming of sector-conductors. Parts which are under voltage must not be processed with the crimping tool. The tool is considered as not isolated.
Introduction CAUTION During work performed at heights the tool must be adequately protected from falling. Before using the equipment, it is necessary to perform a visual inspection to ascertain the condition of the battery powered crimping tool. The equipment may not be used if it has been damaged. Reverse movement is activated exclusively with the relative key. The mechanical release lever located on the equipment must be used in emergency situations.
Introduction 1.5 Storage and transportation In order to protect the crimping tool APG 55 from possible damage it is necessary to clean it after every usage. The WEEE Directive (EU Directive 2002/96 EC) governs the collection and recycling of used electrical devices. Operation 3.1 Start up of the equipment Insert the battery (see illustration) and push until the safety switch clicks. 3.2 Instructions for the use of the power pack and battery charger The battery charger has dimensions depending on the version for 230 and 120 Volt 50-60 Hz. The new batteries are provided partially charged and must be charged before the machine is used for the first time.
Operation CAUTION Use only the batteries foreseen for the purpose in the tools. The use of other batteries could cause injury and the danger of fire. In case of incorrect usage liquid could leak from the battery. Avoid contact with the liquid. In case of contact with the skin wash with abundant water. Consult a physician if the liquid comes into contact with your eyes. Liquid that has leaked from the battery may cause irritation to the skin or burns. 3.
Operation Open the press head by pulling the latch (3) carefully. As a result the shackle opens due to the power of a spring. (see figure on page 42). • Put the two halves of the dies (4) one after the other in the recording / pivot yoke (2) of the press head. • P ush the dies (4) carefully into the pivot yoke (2) until the bullet slips in the track of the dies (4). Make sure, that the dies (4) have snaped in correctly before processing. • Close the shackle until the latch (3) snaps in.

Maintenance instructions 4. Maintenance instructions After usage crimping tool must be cleaned and stored in a dry place. The power pack and battery charger must be protected from humidity and foreign materials. Principally the equipment does not require maintenance. After the previously set processes are completed it is necessary to take the crimping tool to the technical assistance service for inspection to guarantee perfect operation and increase the lifetime of the machine.
What to do in case of breakdown 5. What to do in case of breakdown In case of failure the crimping tool is shut down automatically and remains blocked. The service LED illuminates red or orange. Further process is only possible by changing the battery or respectivly removing it for a short time. If the failure of the crimping tool continues after „reset“, contact the Weidmüller customer service. 5.
