Technical change to MultiCard material
Dear Madam or Sir,
the below listed articles will be supplied in a modified revision. Please pass this product information on to your
employees and, if needed, to your customers. All modifications are performed for reasons of product
improvements.

3. Reason for change
MultiCard markers are made of halogen free polyamide PA6.6 material. The most common
versions are based on V2 flammability while some other versions are also available in V0
flammability. After 25 years we will do a material modification as modern technologies offers
improved features. But we still stay with polyamide PA6.6 which is free of halogen, cadmium or
silicone. The change is only done with V2 flammability. Markers of V0 materials will not be
effected.
Modification of polyamide PA6.6 (V2 flammability) material:
- The resistance to UV-light is higher than before, even if an outside application in direct sunlight is
not recommended.
- The effect of thermal aging has been improved
- The color for white material has been set to RAL 9003, signal white. There is a small visible
difference between the old and the new white color, which is shown below.
Advantage:
- All plastic material will be affected by UV-light, thermal and environmental conditions after some
period of time. The result might be broken or brittle articles. The new material has shown less
stress in our laboratory tests. We expect that the life time of markers will improve with more than
50%.
