ENGINEERINGCONSIDERATIONS,

General - The above devices are intended for in-building use in

commercial, residential, institutional and multi-residential buildings.

Installation - The devices covered in this report are intended to be

used with Listed connectors, plugs and cord sets which are in turn intended

for use in terminating and cross-connecting telephone system conductors. All

installations shall meet the electrieal protection requirements as prescribed

by the applicable requirements of the National Electrical Code and loeal

authorities having ju:r.-isdiction. All models covered

this Report are

suitable for use prior to (beforel telephone protection. Tile units are also

intended to 1.>einstalled in accordance with the manufacturer' s Installation

practiees.

surface shall be maintained between uninsulated live-metal parts and

uninsulated live metal parts of opposite polarity or dead-metal or

grounded noncurrent carrying parts.
