[15] Description of Product:
The subject models are DIN rail mounted industrial application ethernet communication devices. They are intended for Industrial
Applications, pollution degree 2 environments. They are microcomputer-based and communicate via interfaces through wire. Subject
models are of the open type and are intended for installation into a suitable enclosure.
Industrial Media Converter Series IE-MC, followed by –VL or –VLT, followed by -1TX, followed by –1SC or –1ST, followed by (S) or blank.

[17] Special Conditions of Use:
The Ethernet Communication Devices are intended for mounting in an ATEX-Certified tool-accessible IP54 enclosure and used in
an area of not more than pollution degree 2 as defined by EN 60664-1.
Provisions shall be made, either in the equipment or external to the equipment, to provide the transient protection device to be
set at a level not exceeding 140% of the peak rated voltage.
