Enclosures Klippon® K – Aluminium enclosures C Klippon® K – aluminium enclosure Robust enclosure for industrial applications The aluminium Klippon® K enclosures are suitable for use in an extremely wide range of different areas. Various components can be installed inside the enclosures, and will benefit in particular from the high temperature resistance, the excellent IP protection and the good impact resistance. \ Standardised closure system The cover is attached using captive Torx slotted screws.
High IP protection There are no glued areas on the moulded seal of the enclosure, which helps ensure optimal leaktightness. The seal guarantees an IP protection of IP66 to IP68 (depending on the use). Mounting options The matching terminal rails or mounting plates are available as accessories and can be used to install a wide range of different components inside the enclosure.

In addition to brass, plastic and stainless steel cable glands, there are also sealing plugs, pressure-equalising elements, adapters and relevant accessories – such as lock nuts, flat gaskets, flat washers and earthing rings – available.
Cable entries Introduction You should always observe the maximum drill-hole diameter when installing a cable gland, sealing plug, adaptor, or pressure compensation element (e.g. onto the gland plate of an enclosure). These must not exceed the following specified maximum values / tolerances so that the protection degree of the whole enclosure can be guaranteed. Please also refer to the instruction manual; deviating information is possible.

With both sealing materials an IP rating of IP66 and IP68 to 25 metres (30 min at 2.5 bar) is maintained.
Cable entries Klippon® KSG Cable Glands The KSG gland is designed to terminate un-armoured cables. When choosing the gland with a neoprene sealing a temperature range from -35 °C to +90 °C will be achieved, whereas the gland with silicone sealing ensures a temperature range from -60 °C to +180 °C. With both sealing materials an IP rating of IP66 and IP68 to 25 metres (30 min. at 2.5 bar) is maintained. The KSG type gland is approved for Flameproof Ex d and Increased Safety Ex e applications.
Klippon® KUB Cable Glands Cable entries The KUB gland provide an armour clamp for steel tape, steel wire and braided cables. An electrical bond between the cable armour and the gland is ensured. The gland can also be used to terminate unarmoured cables. Additionally, the gland provides a single pull resistant seal on the outer sheath of any cable. After clamping the cable armour onto the cone, the cable has to be filled with the provided compound to seal the free spaces between the single conductors.

Cable entries Ex-cable glands – Plastic D Safeguard processes in potentially explosive atmospheres Ex cable glands for safe devices as per EN 60079-0:2012 + A11 : 2013 The environmental conditions in many industry and explosion-proof applications pose a real challenge for the system components. Dust, vibrations, moisture and extreme temperatures all have an impact on the installed devices and the cable glands must also be able to withstand these stresses too.
Flexible application Available in 8 standard sizes from M12 to M63 (additional thread types on request) and with 14 different clamping ranges, the new range of cable glands is suitable for an extremely wide range of applications. Resistant to high temperatures The cable glands have an operating temperature range of –40 °C to +70 °C with a chloroprene seal, and a range of as wide as –60 °C to +70 °C with a silicone seal.
