This instruction contains information and warn-
ings for working safely with the device.
Read through the instructions completely
before using the device and take note of the
safety instructions.

2 Safety
2.1 General safety notice
The device may only be used by trained per-
sons.
The device may only be operated if it is in
perfect condition.
If the safety of the operator is no longer guar-
anteed, the device must be put out of opera-
tion and secured against unintentional use.
Safety is no longer guaranteed in the follow-
ing cases:
Obvious damage
Stored for too long or incorrectly
Leaking batteries
Modification or reconstruction
The device must not be used in potentially
explosive atmosphere.
The device must not be used in the rain or
precipitation.
The device may only be used in the indicated
measurement ranges, only in low-voltage sys-
tems of up to 690 V (VT Digi Pro to 1000 V)
and only in the indicated overvoltage cate-
gory.
Precautions must be taken to prevent electric
shock if working with voltages that are higher
than extra-low voltage (ELV), i.e. voltages
higher than 120 V DC or 50 V eff AC. For lim-
ited areas, for example agricultural ranges,
60 V DC and 25 V AC apply as limit values.
A faultless display is only guaranteed in the
temperature range from -15°C to +55°C with
relative humidity below 85%.
