4 Operating the device
4.1 Working with the device
Always hold the device and accessories by
the respective grip areas. Never touch the
test probes during a test.
Make sure that the display elements are
not covered.
Only use the device with the battery com-
partment closed.
Perform a functional check on the device
before every time it is used.
► Before performing any checks, make sure
that the device is in perfect condition. Watch
out, forexample, for damaged measurement
lines, broken housings or leaking batteries.
The voltage tester must no longer be used if one
or more functions fail or its operational capability
cannot be detected.
► In this case, secure the device against unin-
tended use.
4.2 Disconnecting the device
► Hold the device with both hands.
VT Master
► Move the orange part (L1) upwards slightly so
that it disengages from the latch.
VT Combi Pro, VT Digi Pro
The devices are held together by neodymium
magnets.
► Firmly pull the two parts of the device apart.
4.3 Switching on and off
If the device has been transported at ex-
treme temperatures, it should be acclima-
tised to the local temperature for at least
2 hours before switching on.
Switching on
VT Combi Pro:
► Briefly press the test key.
VT Digi Pro
► Briefly press the test key or the function key.
Automatic switch-on
The device switches on automatically during the
following events:
– Continuity is detected (VT Master)
– Phase is detected
