5.2 Phase test
This function is only guaranteed if the earthing
conditions are optimal.
The single-pole phase test is not suitable for de-
tecting the absence of voltage.
Hold the device firmly in your hand.
Connect test probe L2 to the test object.
If a voltage > 100 V AC is detected, a warning sig-
nal will sound.
The phase is displayed visually:
VT Master, VT Combi Pro
Phase test LED lights up
VT Digi Pro
LED under the display lights up
5.3 Continuity test
Ensure the test object is free of voltage.
Connect both test probes to the test object.
If a voltage > 10 V (VT Master) or > 6 V
(VT Combi Pro, VT Digi Pro) is detected, the de-
vice automatically switches to the voltage test.
VT Master
The continuity check is performed automati-
cally.
If continuity is detected, a warning signal will
sound and the continuity LED will light up.
VT Combi Pro
The continuity test is carried out as long as
you hold down the test key.
If continuity is detected, a warning signal will
sound and the continuity LED will light up.
VT Digi Pro
The continuity test is carried out as long as
you hold down the test key.
or
Press the function key to activate or deacti-
vate continuity check mode.
If continuity is detected, a warning signal will
sound and the continuity symbol will light up.
5.4 Rotating eld test
VT Combi Pro, VT Digi Pro
This function is only guaranteed if a properly
grounded three-phase system is installed. Meas-
uring principle: The voltage tester detects the
sequence of the rising phases against earth.
Hold the device firmly in your hand.
Connect both test probes to the test object.
The phase-to-phase voltage is indicated:
Clockwise rotating eld: R-LED lights up
Anti-clockwise rotating eld: L-LED lights up
5.5 Resistance measurement
Only VT Digi Pro
Make sure that the test object is free from
voltage.
To activate the function, briefly press the
function key twice.
The symbol for resistance measurement (Ω) is
displayed.
Connect both test probes to the test object.
If a voltage > 15 V is detected, the device auto-
matically switches to the voltage test.
If a resistance < 30 Ω is detected, a warning sig-
nal will sound. This is how low volume resistance
is indicated.
